Returning for 2025 - Our Heritage Garden Tours
Join us for a 45 minute tour and discover the fascinating story behind the design and creation of the Brockhole gardens by landscape architect Thomas Mawson.

Price: £3 per person
Our guided tour leads you through the gardens, gradually revealing the history of the family and house and how the garden was designed and created at the end of the 19th Century. The tour finishes in our restored Kitchen Garden, with an opportunity to chat to one of our Gardeners.

Book your heritage garden tour today
Start point: Meeting point is the courtyard outside the white house (former visitor centre).
Terrain: The garden has steps and a variety of path surfaces and gradients. We do offer a step-free route option. Please let us know in advance of any special access requirements.
Clothing: We recommend outdoor footwear and clothing. We will carry on in the rain and all the tour is outside!
Pre-booking is essential, we cannot take bookings on the day. Numbers on the tour are limited to ensure that everyone has a good experience.
